ABRAHAM DU TRIEUX, b 1632 New Amsterdam, d bef 1660 Albany, NY. sources insufficient; lineage is a consensus, but this link is undocumented. source: Association of Philippe du Trieux Descendants. Lineage chart submitted by Billy J. Patterson of OK (b. Ripley, MO). APdTD material says the wife is unknown, may be 2 as names of Rosella and Hester have been found. Chronology by Ronald S. Taylor in APdTD newsletter. Says Abraham in Feb 1655 court was accused of stealing a boat; I've seen other references to that record; a second man was accused along with Abraham; the suit was dropped. In 1656, he was in Beverwyck, now known as Schenectady. Apparently was a ship's captain, said to have been a captain on the Hudson River. Little record exists. I don't know if any of his line remained in the Schenectady area, but note that Schenectady was burned and its inhabitants massacred by the French and Indians in Feb 1690.  Du Trieux, Abraham (I1778)

Abraham Sharp remarried in 1858 and he and Eliza Ann are with Elizabeth Wilkins on the 1860 Census. So I will assume that Martha died before 1858. Lewallen, Martha (I7196)

According to Brythonic Gaelic, the name 'Watkins' means 'little Walt or Walter'. The suffix 'kin' is a diminutive of Walter. This information was told to me by a professor of Welsh in a local junior college. He has a PhD and is the head of the department. He gave me a book to readabout Welsh names that was fascinating. 'Ap' means 'son of' and isprobably the reason some Welsh names have changes--as 'Powell' which wasoriginally 'Howell', but with the 'Ap' was changed to 'Powell' (ApHowell= 'Powell'. SCHMID-KATHLEEN@worldnet.att.net says (via David Watkins), I am a directdescendant of the Henry Watkins of Henrico County., VA. b. 1637/38 m.1658 d. 1714/15. Based on information that was generously sent to me, theconnection back to England I seek to make is: James Watkins b. ?, Wales, Great Britain, Came to the US aboard the PHOENIX with Captain John Smith in 1608. James had a son named Henry Watkins b. 1585, Wales, Great Britain; and Henry was the father of theHenry Watkins which I referenced above. James Watkins apparently had three sons who came to America. Per one source: 'Henry's brother's Peregrin and Daniel, had come to Accomack County in 1621, Peregrin aboard the GEORGE. He was 20 years of age (hismuster of James City in 1624); 'Perregrim Watkinses, age 24, in theGEORGE, 1621.' Daniel came aboard the CHARLES to James City County,Virginia.' Watkins, James (I1601)

According to family members, John M. deserted Kizza before 1910 and married Mary Elizabeth Harden (wife of John Harden). He also changed his last name from Raines to Moore. He then moved to Washington state. His son John got a letter from him in the 1920s asking him to come visit, but he ignored it. Raines, John M. (I8949)

According to the Daniel McLeod Peterson book , Everett was born 7 Oct 1893, but the 1890 census shows Charles (his brother) in the family (born in Feb 1894 according to the census) and no sign of Everett. I believe that Daniel got the names reversed and have changed the birthdates accordingly. Hunter, Everett Edison (I5085)
